Here are some primitives in Curvy 3D 3.0. These are simply dropped into the scene and the dimensions and bevel can be changed with sliders.
They have a crisper look than Lathes or Slabs (which can make the same shapes) and are optimised to use less triangles.

It will be in 3.1.2 - but there are lots of loose ends and related functionality that I want to polish up before the next release (eg: Bevelled depth to Lathes)
