Sculpting a Battle-Ready Orc in Curvy 3D—Glowing Eyes, Fierce Presence

Post by Simon »

Bringing this light-armored orc to life in Curvy 3D was an absolute thrill! From sculpting the muscular frame to detailing the glowing accents, every step added to the orc’s intimidating presence.

The textured armor, complete with scale-like shoulder pads, gives the orc a rugged, battle-worn look, while the piercing yellow glow from the chest piece and eyes adds a mystical, powerful aura.

This project was all about balancing strength and detail, making sure every element—from the armor engravings to the stance—felt alive and ready for battle.

The shoulder pad is a Loft object: drawing a straight line, then an upside down U shape to make the Loft.

Then added Thickness in object properties panel.

Next, Pull Brush with a pointed brush shape to pull out spiky shapes.

Duplicate the shape to add another layer to the pad.

Finally add a bumpmap, and choose a metallic material lightmap.
