Merging Sculpted Primitives

Post by Morxun »

Hello! I've studied merging sculpted primitives with Weld to Parent, but it doesn't always work. Why?

And another interesting feature when using Voxel Merge Group. I merged curves of 1900, 10,000, and 100,000 tris - the result was meshes with a resolution of 149,000, 37,000, and 86,000 tris, respectively. It’s not clear how they merge like that)).

I think Curvy had problems working out the overlap to weld to parent. In these cases you can cut parts of the meshes out with the lasso tool, Mesh/Join them, and use Mesh/Stitch Holes to join them together.

Voxel Merging will create meshes with a number of triangles proportional to the surface area of the model. You can also change the density by using Mesh/Voxel Merge Properties to choose how big a Voxel is in space.
