Animation
You can now make animation sequences in Curvy, suitable for making game art assets. You can render image sequences of your animation from different angles, or export the raw data to glTF to use to power 3D models in game engines like Unreal.
Cell Shading
You can now use a Cell Shader to make Anime and Cartoon style images in Curvy.
Fur
Curvy 5.1 has a Fur material that lets you add a fuzzy layer of fur on your objects. Good for making costumes or even adding beards and short hairstyles.
Shelled Volume Shader
Adds a displacement map style effect made from lots of thin shells around your model. Useful for adding fine details without needing a high-resolution base mesh,
UV Unwrap
Unwrap multiple objects at once and the UV map will add all your selected objects to a single texture page.
Fixes
Improved mirror sculpting brushes along mirror seam.
Fixed save/load of Actions.
Shortcuts
You can now add a Shortcuts.txt file to:
C:\Users\YOUR-USERNAME\Documents\Curvy3D\
with content like:
REDO Ctrl+Shift+Z
TOOL_PAN MMB+RMB
TOOL_ORBIT MMB
CREATE_LATHE L
Note 1) the only Tools you can use with "MMB+RMB" are Orbit and Pan, this just gives you a choice of using a double mouse button press as a shortcut to access one of them. And it is best to start pressing MMB slightly before you press RMB.
Note 2) Items from AppCmds.csv can have a letter as well as modifiers Ctrl+ or Shift+. But Tools from Tools.csv can only have a single letter and no modifiers at the moment.
