"Gigantic" is a detailed modelling and sculpting tutorial series showing the whole process from start to finish of a sketched and sculpted character in realtime (3 hours) with commentary and tutorial tips. Also includes some powerful but little known features of Curvy 3D 4.

I do use anatomy reference sketches of front and side views of similar characters, google is very helpful.
