That's the first I heard of Boot Camp, it looks promising :) Its a part of OSX that allows you to set up a partition on the mac to run a native copy of windows. The problem is I have to reboot to get to windows so have no access at that point to my other osx based apps. However for checking out the...

I hope you get a PC too one day - or get Wine working! I have tried an app called winonx which is basically wine in a neater package. However the registration box does not show up to enter details. Just see a blank screen. I will continue to try. In the meantime I am running it fine just now in Boo...

Seeing these is making me wish I still had a windows pc Simon. Looks fantastic.

It still surprises me most folks just don't see the power in building up models from little self made primitives like Curvy has.

I know for me on a mac its irrelevant as you are unfortunately going to drop mac support but Have you thought of perhaps having the ability to colour shapes? What I mean is like an old app called Organica could do. An old review can be found here. http://www.dxdigital.uklinux.net/bb/Issue%201/Review...

I have the cintiq 12wx and use it with no issues with Curvy. (I am also on Lion 10.7.3)

Are you having issues?

For more organic shapes I prefer to use curvy as a first step in almost all situations now.

I use it alongside zbrush and modo etc.

Personally I would always opt for obj first any way. Use some other app to convert to 3ds if really needed. I prefer to keep quads as long as possible. That the main benefit of obj over 3ds for me.

Actually I did some testing and meshes cannot be converted to sculpties.

So far by not creating a mirrored object I have had no issues. In other words as long as I just created a single lathe then sculpt it to shape using a curvy map everything seemed fine.

I always check out the forums. With regard to second life. I have not ever tried creating sculpties for sl as its not something that has interested me. When you say that only half the model comes out I would assume that you are using mirror when creating the models. I am guessing that its not actual...
