That is a single black and white image - using "Image Inflate" with the check box for smooth curved surface set - so it inflates the white parts like a bubble.

Looks promising. Would look good with a bronze or polished stone lightmap to push the sculptural feel. (Right click on the lightmap icon by "Base Light" to load a different material look).

Thanks :) The even topology is certainly a reliable side-effect of the merge. Glad it helps with zb.

I added a link to the 'other software' thread on zbcentral - found several mentions of curvy3d there from back in 2004 ;)

The 'speckles' on the coat are made when flat, or hollow curvy objects are merged - that makes a thin twosided surface with a few places where one point i...

Sweet :) I love the fast sketch in 3D style.

You can drag the resolution slider to increase the poly count of the unmerged objects to get a smoother (less faceted) merge.

This is a great experiment with workflow - and I know you have only had the Curvy 2 Beta for a matter of hours!

The overall working timings are brilliant - and hopefully very tempting to other ZBrush users out there.

I look forward to seeing more :)

I like his shoulder crests swooping up into his neck. Could do with a more 'spacey' reflection map - I can see the traffic ;)

Excellent classical look and a cool composition. Very sculptural, I like it.

There is something very satisfying about those floating orbs.

Curvy 2: Simple Bug Toon

I used image inflate to make the wing shapes from a black and white BMP picture and drew lathes and lines for the rest of the bug. An easy one :)

Curvy 2: Gladiator Attack Pose

Here is an example of using Curvy 2 to pose a skinned character along with props without using external applications. The finished image was retouched in Painter: http://www.curvy3d.com/images/GladPaint.JPG Here is the gladiator in Curvy - you can switch between the posed and unposed versions with a...

You can ...
