Cool :) Wilma is very good match.

Archipelis is useful for sketching forms over pictures I see. Although these are clean cartoon shapes the poses and costume details are quite tricky to capture in 3D.

Snake Demon

This is a 2 hour sculpt from scratch in Curvy 2.0 http://www.curvy3d.com/images/Ifrit.JPG The basic shapes were several sketched Lathes, then I merged them and used a flat shaped warp brush with low opacity to block out the muscles, then the new Warp+Pinch feature to add the creases. I sculpted the ...

Fantasy Game Map

I wanted to explore how much variety I could get out of a tiny game world, so this map has all kinds of terrain. It is part of a "60 second RPG" project I am working on (you meet Curvy 3D Characters at each location on the map). The model is a Lathe + Curvy Map, with several Curvy objects on top for...

That is beautiful - I am drawn into the mist and the subtle shading, lovely.

Curvy 3D 2.0 - 16 Bit Compatible

Curvy 3D 2.0 will be compatible with integrated graphics and 16 bit graphics cards (found on many laptops). This is great news for everyone who enjoys Curvy on their Desktop who would like to use it on the move too ( like me ;) ) Tech Spec: Curvy will run at its best with 32bit Indices and a Pixel S...

Speed Sculpt Monster + Basemesh

Another 20 minute sculpt to explore Curvy's basemesh and warp brushes.

Image

I got some ideas from this tutorial. The ZBrush techniques transfer to Curvy well - in particular building up bulky masses by scribbling with a rough thick brush at low opacity.

Speed Sculpt Head

Trying the speed sculpt thing in Curvy. I didn't have a plan for this one - just a random head. 20 mins, including sculpting the basemesh in Curvy Lathes.

I love the glossy blues on David and ripples on the shallow sea.

I like the more close-up and bold contrast in top-right. Also in that image it looks like little shell creatures climbing a vine rather then revealing the whole shape of the separated model. Bot-Left is a good image as a whole too, more ceremonial. The natural textures and muted tones make this look...

I like the sleek shapes of the flying animals. The strong grey fractal clouds flatten the image out and and makes the environment more abstract.

Little Monsters

This is a big view of some little sprites again: in-game they are only 60-90px tall.

I love the background on this one - so much energy! Reminds me of a big TV show like the Running Man movie.
The background is almost musical in its variations on the pattern - very interesting - is it a Bryce material?

The sculpture on left is still one of my favourites :D
