This sounds fantastic. I do have a question. Could we take the instances and convert them into objects with editable curves? Say you make a lathe, instance it, make changes to parent, extract the instance, then modify the instance as it's own object. Hard to explain.

I like the blue color. I can't wait to try! Can you mirror/clone multi-selected objects?

It looks like with your technique, you could make some pretty convincing trees. I may have to try making some trees with a mix of bump and Curvy map.

I'm as well curious as to how you made the web for the wings. It looks like a loft or lathe that you sculpted and moved into shape.

Wow. I am very impressed with the additions you've made to Curvy. I will try the new build today. I'll let ya know what I find. By the way Simon. Thanks for listening to my viewport navigation issues. I absolutely love how you navigate now. Much faster and smoother!

Neat! Looking forward to trying the new features when you have a build ready for test. The painting part reminds me of zbrush's drop feature where you go from 3d to 2d.5. I'm probably thinking about this the wrong way heh.

I have looked into this. I believe I want to pick one up once they're released. The price is perfect and the technology seems to be pretty effective. Seeing this work with Curvy sounds promising. What type of movements have you experimented with Curvy for the movement? That will help us more underst...

Wings3D is a good one and also GMax. It's a free modeler/animator from Autodesk. http://www.turbosquid.com/gmax It's a very light version of 3D Studio Max. I've used it before and it's quite easy to produce basic shapes. In fact, a lot of them are available on the side in the create menu.

I'm sure the poly's would need to be dropped before any rigging would be done. Curvy can produce rather high poly models. However, the poly's can be adjusted directly in Curvy or exported to programs such as DogWaffle.

The forums go in and out of activity. I visit the forums at least daily. I don't play SL but I would agree with Mykyl, double check to see if your model is either mirrored and/or convert to mesh before exporting to a sculpt.
