Running out of memory

Post by pocketwatches »

I been having good luck with the program. Im using the demo as of now but if i planned on buying up until i ran into issue of running out of memory.

From what i can tell my system and vcards are not even close to running out im guessing its a limitation to the program. At the time i had a model with about 500k poly count . Is there a setting i might be missing? This a 32bit program issue?

Thanks

500k is high for Curvy, it may be worth using a Mesh Reduction operator to simplify the mesh. The Demo version is 32bit, however Curvy on Steam includes the 64bit version and is more robust with memory issues for big models.

I'll look into adding 64bit to the demo & non-Steam releases.

Making the 64 bit version is easier than fixing up all the installers to work in 32/64 modes. Be ready in a minute...

You can now redownload and install the Demo to get the 64bit version

http://www.curvy3d.com/Demo/Curvy3D_3_Demo_Setup.exe

It should look identical, but for the new version number 3.2.34 on the Help/About info.
