Comic Sketch Construction in 3D

This is a new feature in Curvy 2.0 that simply allows you to draw in 3D. By careful use of "Precise Lines" and "Redraw Curve" you can easily make any line you line in 3D space - then Curvy does the hard work of projecting it accurately into perspective. This makes the 3D sketch a lot more helpful than a pencil and paper sketch as you can change the viewpoint after it is drawn.

These construction lines then make it easy to draw your own character over the top.

The real trick will be making a set of emotive faces in this 3D line style - that would be very helpful in drawing comics.

I've begun doing similar with Widget Move to make a mouse. Computer mouse that is.

It's a bit rough at the moment - I want to improve the way you colour and group the lines (at the moment it is tricky to tell what is selected, and what is separate line objects).

After watching some drawing tutorials where people spend 10's of hours constructing complex shapes in perspective I imagine this kind of sketching helper should be quite useful.

This is a proof of concept, using a 3D Curvy sketch as the basis for a 2D shaded sketch. The proportions are better then when I draw freehand - but there is also less detail than when I draw from photos.

i really like this sketch
it has a great 'three dimensionality' to the face
