Here is my first Second Life sculptie based on a normal Curvy model. I used the inflate method to make a simple Lathe conform to my complicated sculpted head.
This pic also shows some experimental ambient occlusion and lighting baking - will be in beta soon.
That is a screenshot from SL. You can see round the edges how it is fairly lo-poly with some sharp corners, but on the whole the baked lighting fills out the details well.
