Meet the...

Post by Doggie »

I still have trouble making shapes with Curvy3D, but I made these with a program called Archipelis then imported them into Curvy to give them dimension and touch up the paint. They only took a few minutes to make I spent more time in Curvy doing the finessing.

Cool :) Wilma is very good match.

Archipelis is useful for sketching forms over pictures I see. Although these are clean cartoon shapes the poses and costume details are quite tricky to capture in 3D.

Archipelis works well with animals and some objects. it's useful when I want to grab a texture or draw a simple shape.

With a little work a reasonable shape can be made which I take into curvy to shape and touch up paint.
I think my biggest problem in Curvy is I don't know how to flatten a lathe.

nice little characters

you would flatten a lathe object by drawing another curve at right angles(front and side view) to it.
flatten an individual curve with the ruler tool or widgit move.

flatten a mesh by scale tool while pressing x y or z key.

or by using warp flatten tool.

and there are other ways.
:)

curvy will do a very similar job to Archipelis if you experiment with the
model - inflate image settings.
