Curvy 2 - Sin Timelapse

Post by Simon »

Timelapse Sculpting a character from "The Seven Deadly Sins" by Otto Dix.

Complete modelling and texturing took 1 hour, the timelapse shows the modelling part at 2x speed.

This video shows Aartform Curvy 3D 2.0 quickly sketching a character in 3D and demonstrates new volumetric sculpting tools that allow simple merging and cutting of drawn 3D shapes.

In particular I used Subtract to easily make the hollow mask out of simple lathes, and Merge to attach the arms and legs to the body.

The head inside the mask was based on a quick Merge, and then I used the Warp tools to sculpt detail into the face.

i like the idea and the effect

particularly interesting to see was your clever use of shading which significantly reduces modeling time.
