Hi Simon , I have a request for a tutorial, is it possible to make a step by step video tutorial about the football helmet :
http://curvy3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php? ... ght=helmet
but a complete tutorial of all props . Why ? Because in this case , there is
all the features that are more complex, like put a precise alpha cut , precise bump map , precise strait line , precise square thing , etc... not organic.
I know it take time but this is the missing tutorial for the 3.0 version.
This soft is sooooo amazing to make organics things in minutes!!!
Other thing : Is it possible to make a square or cylinder primitive with lot of
polygons ? because there is only 2 polygons per face for the square and polygons for the cylinder are top to botom...
Thank you for your answer
Marc

Helmet: This is a good mix of techniques and would be worth remaking for 3.0 with a more step by step approach. The main trick is working inside a 2D paint program to make the exact and smooth shapes needed for the alpha and bump.
Cube/Cylinder with more triangles: This is certainly on my wishlist for Curvy. In the meantime you can turn off "Auto Polish" in the Edit menu... then use "Mesh/Refine by Edge Length" to add more tris. (A better solution I want to add is just to use the "Resolution Slider" to allow accurate increase of mesh density, just like for other Curvy Primitives)
