Zoom Tool

Drag with the zoom tool to magnify a part of the model or texture you are working on, then to return to normal afterwards.

You can always access this tool by rolling the mouse wheel; holding down Ctrl+Shift and dragging the Middle Mouse Button (MMB); or you can just pick the tool from the tools panel.

You can also drag on the view control that looks like this:
